Kent is one of the founding principals of edi and a managing partner, with responsibilities including business operations, staff management, architectural design, construction documentation, contract administration and information technology. An award-winning architect, Kent has worked in sustainable architecture since 1993 and has expertise in the area of energy, water, resource efficient design and natural systems. His innovative design work includes custom hospitality and resort projects as well as custom commercial and residential, veterinary, medical, schools and master planning projects. Kent specializes in integrated sustainable design and sustainability consulting, which includes site assessments as well as creative and project specific recommendations for appropriate non-toxic, rapidly renewable, recycled, regional and re-usable building materials. Kent plays an active role in raising the environmental awareness of design professionals, developers and others in the field by leading sustainable design charettes and regularly lecturing on sustainable design, building methodologies and living.
